On April 8, Matthias performed at the Wuxi Grand Theater in Wuxi, Jiangsu in China.

Besides Turina's Sevillana, op. 29 and Schumann's Kinderszenen, op. 15, which he had transcribed for guitar at the beginning of this year, he played chamber music works by Piazzolla and Ibert together with Russian pianist Olga Samosuyeva and Chinese flutist Wei Xiao.
